California State Tax for 2004 Worldwide Income

After submitting my income detail to E&Y for my US and California State Tax for 2004 returns, I received the documents on Wednesday that I got refund for my federal tax and I jump off my seat because I have to pay extra $2k for California State Tax. I went through the doc with the consultant and they explained that California look at all my earning and stock option which I received in Singapore and that was taken into consideration for 2004 tax. There goes my bank saings again.
